ABOUT
Seattle based, Mexican-American, non-binary recording artist Samara Lennoxx (they/them) has spent the last 14 years songwriting for themself and other local artists. Navigating their deep sultry tone and raw poetic lyrics, while painting a colorful balance between genres; they pull from their struggles with mental health and trauma. They write about the vulnerable complexities of identity, queerness, gender roles, and an ever growing loss of connection between one another. After performing at festivals such as SXSW, Capitol Hill Block Party and Belltown Bloom, Lennoxx’s fans describe their live shows as “going to church”. They’ve spent years working with the local non-profit Keep Choosing Life, producing events based around suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Their hope is to help others also struggling, to know they are not alone.
